Around this time last year a new anime series came off that was based extremely loosely on the works of H.P. Lovecraft. The main character of this series was a creature/girl by the name of Nyarlathotep (Nyaruko) with the catch of the series being that she was hopelessly in love with a human who had no interest in her despite her being pretty much formed entirely from Moe.

I imagine many Lovecraft fans would abhor the show for what it did with the mythos but I loved it. It was clear the writer of the light novel was extremely familiar with Lovecrafts work and they did a good job of saying "I am doing my own thing, but using some of the mythos from something I love." It was a fanfic come to life, in a good way… instead of … you know… the terrible terrible ways fanfics can go. *shudder*

Anyway, Nyaruko is such a great character I was super excited when she got the Nendoroid treatment and she turned out to be one of my most photogenic figures to date.

I don't know if this is a new standard base for nendoroids but I sure hope it is. The arm actually plugs into her back much like a figmas stand…. so… so much better than the precarious holding systems of previous nendoroids.

So there she is Nyarko Nendoroid from Goodsmile. She is a great figure and just looks amazing and the new stand system is just great. I hope they keep using it.

Probably a skip for people who are not fans of the show, unless you are digging her moe looks, but a great figure for a nendoroid collection none the less.
