Nikon D90

I had a bit of good fortune recently that allowed me to purchase my dream Camera, a Nikon D90 with a Nikon AF-S DX 18-105mm lens. It was followed by some bad fortune... being sickish for nearly 2 weeks.. but you have to take the good with the bad I think. Anyway I have had it since last Monday and have been messing around with it in my apartment when I wasn't coughing up a lung and I absolutely love it. By far it is the best camera I have ever owned or operated. Can't give a full review just yet as I haven't begun to really test it, but preliminaries tell me that I am going to be extremely happy with my purchase. But enough of my blabbing, here are the pics, taken with my trusty Nikon Coolpix which is now extremely jealous.

Shiny ^^

Not exactly sure what the finish is on the camera casing. Speckled... freckled? Is it for grip?

Really glad this lens came with the built in VR(Vibration Reduction) functionality. I don't have the steadiest of hands so it really helps out when I can't use a tripod.

Looks like I missed some of the dust before shooting this picture. In the Midwest in winter the air gets pretty dry because of the cold and crazy static electricity builds up quickly.. so you have to dust more often ><. As you can see the screen comes with this big protective guard on it, it says to take it off.. but.. I kind of like having it.

I got the camera with a equipment bundle from Newegg, it came with this sweet Dolica bag, sturdy and has a nice orange interior ^^. With the bundle I also got an extra battery, some maintenance things, a mono-pod, and a tripod.

Oh and it takes nice pictures. Hopefully now that I am feeling better and the weather is getting nicer I can get out and really see what it can do!
