Uzaki Chan Wants to Hangout just premiered on July 10th.
Many people in the anime community are excited for this event, as Uzaki Chan is quite well liked from her manga series.
On top of that, Uzaki has made the news numerous times for her wildly successful collaborations with the Japanese Red Cross, which resulted in an increase in blood donations.
Her appearances in the news only increased due to backlash from anime-hating types on Twitter, who claimed that the collaboration was not appropriate due to the size of Uzaki chan’s bust.
Now that Uzaki chan has her own anime, what are main stream anime news publications writing about the show?
According to @Shinden9, ANN, had this to say in 2 of their reviews, both leaving 1.5 out of 5 stars…
It's clear that ANN is extremely far removed from understanding anime fans, and want to cater to an audience of ignorant newcomers in order to engineer a space in their image.
A space that will ultimately end up being nothing more than a revolving door. pic.twitter.com/h5Ju3JDaFE

Further digging found that ANN actually has four reviews of “Uzaki Chan Wants to Play!” as of writing this.
3 out of 4 reviews giving the show a 1.5 out of 5 stars, while the 4th review does actually give 3 stars out of 5. We send an early condolence to that reviewer for their incoming termination… That’s a joke.
