Apparently another cosplayer, @lotheriel on Instagram, apologized for her Yue cosplay from Avatar: the Last Airbender.

Not only is it rather unclear how this move actually helps POC or minorities, but to many, it can also come off as conceded. Conceded that this cosplayer thinks so highly of herself that simply not cosplaying Yue anymore and apologizing for it, will make some great difference in the world.
