Miles Luna, Head Writer of animation at Rooster Teeth and well known writer for the web series RWBY, has seemingly been making an abundance of bad takes lately.
Just about a month ago, in an apparent attempt at appealing to the hypocritical crowd of social media virtue signalers, blamed certain poor writing decisions in RWBY on being a “white guy”.

The latest bad take from Miles comes in the form of a now deleted tweet, where he seemed to mock Tifa Lockheart in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake for “looking like a prostitute”, in an embarrassing attempt at humor. Or something.
Miles explanation for deleting the tweet, additional context with the tweet he is responding to can be found further below;
His girlfriend rallied to his defense; 
(I don’t know about you but responding to a tweet, which most people won’t see, and “apologizing” there – rather than actually making a separate tweet and apologizing where people will actually see it… Doesn’t seem much like an “apology” to me. I’m not even saying if he should or should not apologize either but let’s be real here.)
Miles (and many on staff at Rooster Teeth) seem stuck in a weird limbo they created for themselves.
Since inception, Rooster Teeth seemed to take a rather “carefree” attitude regarding making jokes and “having a good time”at the work place and in their content production. However, as the years went on, and management at Rooster Teeth decided to cut (equity) deals with much larger companies like AT&T’s Warner Media, the structure became more corporate – clashing with the old dynamic Rooster Teeth seemed to have in its earlier years.
Making the situation much worse is how a number of personalities at Rooster Teeth have this apparent agenda where they focus on appealing to the hypocritical crowd of virtue signaling bigots that are prevalent in “current year”.
This has caused many fans of the “old, carefree, Rooster Teeth”, to feel alienated or even worse – pushed out of the Rooster Teeth community. The effects only proliferated as the “new” community R.T. has catered to actively also witch hunt anyone they dislike and gate keep what’s left of the fractured and dwindling Rooster Teeth community.
Then, as mentioned, you have higher up, well known, personalities at Rooster Teeth like Miles Luna – regularly making terrible hot takes.
Making this particular tweet even worse is how the character Yang Xiao Long, in RWBY, was allegedly loosely based off Tifa Lockhart by the series creator Monty Oum.
Even Mark “Team Lead for Vanilla World of Warcraft” Kern, under the the popular account @Grummz, commented on this situation.
This response to Mark’s tweet calling out the irony with Mile’s tweet, as @ArchonOf posts a picture of Yang from RWBY in comparison. Making the remark even more comedic, is how Archon even added a jab to the newer Volume’s of RWBY as well. If you’re not in the know, many fans of RWBY have a strong distaste for how Yang’s character has changed over the years. Yang’s own expression in these comparison pictures (granted, one is artwork, one is from the show itself – the point still stands though), showing perfectly how disappointing the character has become.
